To be best prepared, you need to be properly hydrated. You'll want to drink the amount water your doctor recommends for at least a week before your scan. You'll also want to eat a good meal 30-60 minutes prior to your appointment. Drink some juice with that meal and maybe another juice on the way to the clinic. However, it is very important to be sure to remain within any and all dietary considerations your care provider has given you!

What we're looking for is a wide awake baby to make your exam as exciting as it can be. We also want to have the proper amount of amniotic fluid and some fluid in your badder. That will help lift baby's head out of the pelvic area. Please don't be uncomfortable with a super full bladder though. More is not necessarily better in this case. A pleasant and rewarding experience is what we'd like to achieve.

Your time is important to us, as is ours, and as is the following appointment. Please arrive on time to complete your paperwork. Please have your guests arrive on-time as well. We strive for an uninterrupted session in which you can exerience the bonding that sharing this time with your loved ones can establish.
